I am a wife and mother of 2 wonderful children.  Above all I am a child of God, He is my rock and my peace! It is only because of Him that I can stand strong and firm when the storms of life come crashing in.

I was once a very “career” minded women, now I am an entrepreneur. My first career was as a corporate pilot. I began learning to fly when I was 17 and began teaching others at 20. I landed (no pun intended :) my first jet job at the early age of 22 flying co-pilot in Lear Jets.

Over my 22 year career as a pilot I was very fortunate to fly some great equipment, travel to some wonderful places, (and some not so wonderful).  I always loved the power of being in command of a jet aircraft, taking off and landing is a thrill like no other!

I flew for 9 of my daughter’s 13 years, and until I was 7 months pregnant with my son, taking leave only 3 weeks before he came into the world 5 weeks early. I had to go back to work when he was only 2 months old as my leave was up.

I not only had to go to work I had to travel sometimes for a week at a time. I remember having to take my breast pump along trying to keep up with my ever increasing breasts, having to pump every several hours and then store my sons meal till I could get back home, hah! It was times like this that differences between men and women in the work world were very obvious!

I remember thinking early in my career I that I was going to be superwoman because I wanted my flying career AND a family, I wanted it all! And here I was doing it, but the cost became too much.

I began to resent my career as it took me away from my children, requiring me to employ someone else to do my job as mom.

October 2005 I retired my wings to stay home with my kids and I have never regretted it!

Although I was home and very happy about that I still needed to contribute financially. I began investing in Real Estate and that went very well for 3 years. During that time we bought, fixed, flipped, rented, rehabbed and sold about 20 properties…until the crash, well, we all know about that. It hit us hard as we had just moved into a bigger home and had several mortgages to pay. Praise God, He came through for us!

We sold our old home and an investment property but in the mean time my husband lost his job. We began to barrow from Peter to pay Paul which only got us into deeper debt. I was accustomed to making a good living both as a pilot and in Real Estate. I didn’t know how to handle this new situation.

Looking back I realize now I was NOT a good steward of my money. Sometimes the Lord has to take us through the fire to refine us and though it is painful it is what is best for us.

I no longer purchase using credit cards. It’s cash, debit or nothing!

About a year ago while searching for a way to provide additional income for  my family and still maintain the priority of being a stay-at-home mom I began to meet many women who were also struggling in a similar way. We all seemed to be looking for the same thing, but where to turn, who to trust?

It was then that I began to develop a passion for helping moms who had the same desire as I, to be a Proverbs 31 woman, finding a way to stay home with their kids and still earn a great income. This is my passion and goal!

Over the past year I have reasearched and tried several vehicles and tools that I thought would appeal to moms. Some worked some didn’t, then I found it, something that could work for everybody, even dads and using this vechile I started my Web Marketing business!

One very important lesson I learned on this quest was that  most people when getting involved with a home business opportuinty begin at the wrong end.  They start with the product or company. It’s not unusual, someone introduces them to it, they like it, they try it, but too often without considering what operating that business will entail. Will they have to hold inhome parties in the evenings and on weekends? Will they have to cold call or sell, oh my.

It would benefit anyone who is considering starting a home business to analyze themselves and their lifestyle to see if the business model you are considering is a good fit for you. If not, keep looking.

For instance over a year ago I tried selling jewelry. Well I did it because I absolutely love the product line. This required inhome parties, well I do not particulary like in-home parties and the hours were awful for me. Bad idea. I needed something I could do during the day when the kids are in school.

I quickly ended that venture and continued my search, better informed. Then I found IT! A business that is so unique and amazing, any mom (or dad) can make it work for her and her family.

Inspite of the very challenging circumstances over the past 2 years I am incredibly excited about the future! I look forward to helping other moms achieve their goals and keeping those kids a priority!

We WILL leave footprints for them, let’s be sure our footprints are ones we can be proud of!
