When you’re relentless, you never give up! Persistent and determined, you keep pressing forward no matter what comes against you because you are committed to never quit.
This message was sent to me from a favorite author and speaker, Joyce Meyer. As I read through it I began to own it. I loved every word as message was so applicable to my life this past year. And now will be my mission going into 2009. The message is applicable to all areas of life especially as a mother and business owner. Joyce went on to say…
If we are going to be relentless, we have to be willing. Being willing means we choose to unpack our emotional baggage – to dump our guilt, fear, rejection and anger and stop carrying it around with us. We need to leave our past behind so we can relentlessly pursue God’s future and purpose for our lives.
Wow, that’s huge! I hope you read that again, I did. I know that everything began to change for me when I decided to take the emotion out of it. What a great place to be when no matter what comes your way whether from family, friends, business, life you can stand with firm assurance with peace and joy that you are in the hands of your creator. When you let go of the baggage life is so much lighter!
God wants us to be faithful. At first this may not seem too exciting or glamorous, but its so critical to our walk with God. Jesus said if we’re going to be faithful with much, and we all seem to want “much,” we first have to prove ourselves faithful with little thigs. Living by faith also means living a faithful life. It means showing ourselves faithful time and time again. A faithless life gives up because we have a tendency to quit when things get difficult or when our emotions or support waver.
This is a lesson I had to learn the hard way
When I made a lot of money, I squandered a lot of money. Being without will force you to learn to be faithful with little, that is why I can actually say I am grateful for the financail difficulties of the past 2 years, It has humbled me and taught me to be content with little as with much and to live a faithful life, faithful that God will provide as He has promissed and I have witnessed time and again.
The final key: We must be connected. We were’nt designed to serve God and fulfill His plan for our lives alone. God created us for relationship, to stand together and encourage one another, to give our lives to something so much bigger than ourselves. YOU CAN’T SUCCEED ALONE – It requires connectedness.
This message makes me think of the current passion for social networking that is sweeping the world. People all over teens and adults are spending more hours with social network media, like Facebook, Myspace, Youtube, texting, ect than they do watching television. It is revolutionizing our society. We as humans were made to connect with each other. Many would argue about the ills of social networking but as with anything moderation, wisdom and limits must be imposed. One thing is for sure, like the internet in general, social networking is here to stay and promises to be even bigger in 2009.
I love it when you see Biblal principals play out in our secuar world. All one has to do is read or listen to all the guru’s and experts out there on any number of subjects and in many cases you will find their message I not really “their” message at all, it was already given to us in the Bible many years ago.
So let’s committ ourselves as mompreneurs to make 2009 our year to be RELENTLESS, to be FAITHFUL, and to CONNECT with others!
And always remember, if you have Christ, the task ahead of you is never as big as the power behind you!
To a great 2009!

Thanks for the wonderful message.
I, too, went from a life of financial ease to working hard just to stay afloat. When I sent Meg to college I worked 2 jobs..7 days a week.
And she lived on Top Ramen noodles. But, we both agree that the experience made us better, stronger women and very determined to take control of our own lives and create our own destinies.
What you focus on becomes your destiny and we were determined to focus on a life that we controlled and where we could help others in need.
I have worked hard at unpacking my emotional baggage and focusing on today and tomorrow and not yesterday.
Persistence and determination are what keep me going.
There are two ways to guarantee that you will NOT fail at something; never start and never quit.
