Today is Day 3 of Peaks Guerrilla Business School and I have already maxed out one legal pad taking notes.
Not only am I learning (from real life Millionaires & Billionaires) I am meeting tons of great people that I know I will do business with in one way or another, And we are all having a Blast!
T. Harv Eker is a Mater in many areas of business, some of which he has shared with us thus far are The Essence of Business (What Rich People Do that Broke People Do Not), Negotiations & Marketing.
Yesterday, after our training in Negotiations Harv gave us (all 1000) of us an assignment. We had two hours to go out into the real world and apply the principles and techniques just taught, have lunch and come back with the report.
My results were not as dramatic as some others in the group, but I was successful at negoiating a 25% discount on a ROXY travel bag, however, I did not buy it as I was just practicing my new skills. I did buy an iced coffee and got a Free pump of vanilla,
My first attempt was at Sophora, the trendy cosmetics store. I must have applied at least 6 of Harv’s techniques, so much so I had to go to another sales person so I didn’t completely humiliate myself, but they would not budge! As Harv said, it won’t always work, but it does much of the time. I did at least get a few samples thrown in with my purchase.
If anyone has been successfull negoiating at Sophora I would love to hear about it!
This exercise required us to get out of our comfort zone and it became clear very quickly that done “the right way”, many people will eagerly “help you out” if only you will ask.
